Tender Tracking
Using a modified Inmarsat D+ transceiver, you can track your tender anywhere in the world via satellite and not be restricted to the limited coverage and unreliability of VHF or GSM based systems.
Key Features:
Small - discrete - secure - tender alert button - automatic
Equipment:
On the tender, we install a small D+ transeiver complete with an alert button. When the ignition key is inserted, the unit starts broadcasting its position at predefined and remotely adjustable frequencies e.g. once an hour. |
|
Options:
The position of the tender is received via satellite into our main land-based servers and then 'relayed' onto the main yacht. Several methods are available:
- Web page based screen showing latitude, longitude, spaeed and bearing.
- Java applet - you login and can then see a map of the world
- Remote Tracking Monitor - hardware terminal showing positional information from the tenders and allowing polling
Advanced tracking features
In addition to the D+ automatically sending position reports, you can, from the main, yacht, request an immediate position report - this is delivered in a couple of minutes. Finally, if there is an incident onboard the tender, when the alert button is pressed, an 'alert' message will be transmitted, along with the latest positional information. This alert will be displayed onboard the main yacht, notifying you of a possible incident. |
