After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a PhD in Sub-tidal Marine Ecology, I started my professional career working for Apple Computers, which sparked my interest in IT & communications. In 1997, after branching out as a Sole Trader, I founded OceanWeb and the business gradually developed to the current status where we work with over 85 Superyachts.
After completing my BA (hons) in Humanities at the University of Hertfordshire, I returned to the Island to work as a Senior Personnel Officer responsible for the crewing of BP oil tankers with Dorchester Maritime Ltd. I have a passion for metrics and keeping up with new technologies which allows me to offer my clients the most up to date solutions. I spend most of my spare time with friends and family, hanging out with my dog Luna, or knee-deep in a DIY project that has usually gone a bit off plan!
After gaining hands-on experience working with virtualised desktop infrastructures and server virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, I built up a broad IT skill-set by supporting and managing enterprise productivity platforms including Microsoft 365. This background has given me a strong foundation in both back-end infrastructure and user-facing systems. I now apply that experience to deliver reliable, efficient and user-focused IT support and solutions.
I joined OceanWeb in 2023 as a Junior Technical Support Engineer. My experience includes almost five years of experience in an IT support role within the financial services sector.
